before you book.
The questions worth answering before anyone spends money, including the ones with answers you might not want.
Before you book
Your Mexico care-trip checklist.
Eight things travelers most often wish they had handled earlier. Travel logistics only: anything touching your treatment is your physician's to answer.
- 01Passport valid 6+ months
Airlines and border agents can turn away a passport that expires soon after your trip.
- 02Medication list using generic names
Brand names differ in Mexico, so a list written in generic names travels better. Pack your usual supply for the length of the trip.
- 03Records and imaging, digital and printed
Bring everything you listed on your intake form: scans, labs, and anything else you consider pertinent to your case. Digital and printed both earn their place.
- 04Someone travelling with you
Even a straightforward visit is easier with another person along. Tell your coordinator what would help and we can arrange a translator, airport pickup, and support through the rest of the trip.
- 05Payment that works abroad
Tell your bank you're travelling, and confirm what's paid in advance versus on site.
- 06A phone that works in Mexico
Check with your carrier whether your plan already covers Mexico. If it does not, ask your coordinator and we can suggest an eSIM.
- 07A written aftercare plan
Emailed or printed, either is fine. What matters is that you leave with it and that you follow it.
- 08Time to enjoy where you are
Leave a little room either side of your appointments. Both cities are worth seeing, and your coordinator can point you at what is close by.
Still unsure?
Just ask.
If your question is not here, send it. A coordinator will answer it directly. There is no obligation attached to asking.
